YewFlow is offering guided trips to some of Colorado's premier bike parks and trail systems with a full day of coaching and transportation. The full line up of 2024 field trips is evolving. New trips will be added throughout the year and you can request trips or locations for groups of four or more.
New for 2024 are our RFV Shuttle Sessions! These half day sessions will expose riders to a variety of trail systems in the greater Roaring Fork Valley (from New Castle, South Canyon, Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, Coal Basin, mid-Valley and Aspen area trails.) Shuttle Sessions are designed for riders seeking personal progressions and high level coaching. Shuttle sessions will involve some uphill pedalling but we will be using the van to maximize laps and time on the bike.
Shuttle Sessions and field trips are for Level 2 and 3 riders. Please visit our FAQ to determine your child's Rider Level.
Woodward Copper Action Sports Facility Field Trip details may vary week by week but we will be making multiple trips to Woodward and/or Frisco Bike Park in the Fall of 2024. Dates to be announced.
Trip format: Depart Carbondale at 8:30am, drive to Woodward Copper and enjoy two riding sessions: 12-2pm and 2-4pm with lunch break between sessions. If riders only want to do the first session, they can sit out the second session. See note below about barn passes vs. season passes. Some trips will split time between woodward and frisco bike park, depending upon the interest of the group.
Details: Woodward Copper is an action sports and youth paradise located at Copper Mountain Resort. We will be enjoying their 19,400ft indoor training facility with skateparks, Olympic-grade trampolines, foam pit jumps, indoor ski and snowboard training and more.
Please Bring: any bike you are comfortable riding, helmet, closed toed shoes, lunch (or money for lunch out), snacks, water, sunscreen and appropriate clothes for changing weather.
Focus: Woodward is the ultimate place to advance skills in a safe environment. Wooden pump track riding will allow us to work on body position, speed, pumping and manuals. Also how to turn around, carve/ 180 on the quarter pipe walls.
We will do some bowl riding in the Woodward barn - learning how to safely enter and exit the bowl and pumping with vision patterns to control line choice. Riding steep transitions. We will do a lot of jump technique into the foam pit. Lower level riders will focus on jump technique while more advanced can get to start practicing tricks. 360, 540, 720. good time to try a flip for the first time. and all the other options you can dream up. This is the perfect spot! We will also spend some time on the tumbling mats stretching out and working on functional movement. Jumping, playing, and being a kid. We will jump on the trampolines to work on spins and inversions. Plus all the basic supertramp bounce patterns. whoop whoop.
Cost: $150 (includes transportaion and a full day of coaching.)
Woodward barn passes not included. If you have a season pass to Woodward, you are all set.
Woodward barn passes are $59 per two hour session. I will be reserving everyone's pass ahead of time so you can add one or two sessions onto your registration when you checkout.
Limited space available.
